It’s always a great idea to show a custom 404 Error page, this helps us in 2 things, it tells search engines that they have landed on an incorrect page and have a link to the correct page and second if a visitors lands on a wrong page than with custom error page they are more likely to click on the link you have there and move to the right page than just leave your website and go.
Programming knowledge is not at all required to create a custom 404 nor do you have to edit .htaccess. From your account’s cpanel you can simply select the 404 Error page and the add your html code to it.
To get a custom 404 error page, log on to your cPanel account and click Error Pages in the Advanced column.
Then click on the error page you want to edit, in our case 404 (Not Found) page and then enter your HTML code
